Classic or Old School Spades originated in 1937 by combining Bid Whist and Bridge to create a faster-paced, trick-taking game where spades are always the trump?  The game rose in popularity during World War II among military soldiers. Spades is one of the most popular card games played in the U.S.

This Ain't BBQ Spades is a competitive tournament series. We have established rules and a manner of play that will raise your Spades game to an entirely new level.

Registration Fee is $25


Prize Money - 80% of the pot goes to the top two (2) teams who win each tournament. The remaining 20% is awarded to the Tournament of Champions winners at the end of the year.

Tournament rules are what distinguishes the 'style of play' for our tournament from how Spades is played at a cookout or family reunion.
